The Excalibur Dehydrator is used for drying certain foods such as fruits, vegetables, and many others. The purpose of the device is to dehydrate what you are cooking, this allows the consumption of the food you are cooking without loosing all the nutrients that is destroyed when cooking something with heat. 1) Homemade Beef Jerkey

• 4 pounds beef, cut into 1/4" strips
